This year will be one of our most chaotic yet. A year of more change than stability. The year that we turn the page to a new chapter of our lives, both personally and professionally.

As an Anglo-Italian family of five currently living in the UK, both Mum and Dad with careers in the fast paced and demanding world of MedTech, two little girls (8 & 4) and a dog – we never thought we’d make this move. A move that would take us back to Italy & this time not to visit our family or take a break, but to live, work and raise our children. It had always seemed too much, too big of a change away from the cosmopolitan lifestyles we are used to. But it’s happening – the stars aligned and we have the opportunity to move our family, develop our careers and inject Italian culture into our girls lives while they are still small – something that is so important to us and that we have fought for since they were born.

We are riding a rollercoaster of emotions but the overwhelming need for a slower pace of life, some sunshine and endless culture and beauty is keeping us steady on our journey towards expat life. As things move quickly over the next month there will be countless ups and downs, doubts, excitement and everything in between. We will share our top tips on dealing with the red tape that comes with not only moving houses but also moving countries, schools, work contracts and eventually the realities of living abroad. We will show you how we are preparing our children, the conversations we have with them and how to support them in a time of such enormous change.
